Well, that’s a wrap on release week promotion for Born and Raised. It’s so phenomenally weird to wake up this morning at home and not in the back of a bus somewhere. On the bright side, releasing this album and getting back in touch with my fans has been something I’ve been waiting to experience for a long time now. I’m finally at a place in my life where I can truly appreciate the kindness and support, and you have shown me lots of it. Thank you for that.
As I understand it, the album is set to enter the charts at number one, which is just incredible on all your parts because there has been very little I’ve been able to do to promote it. In a world of schemes and strategies when it comes to selling something, you guys just bought music you trusted you’d like. You picked it up in the same way I made it… from the heart, no trickery. That is so cool and rare and all the marketeers in the world together can’t manufacture that. I am very grateful to you.
The making of this record was purposely undocumented, but there are a few iPhone videos and some photos to share. I figure I’ll do that here, and more often than I usually have in the past. Even if this album slides off the charts in a month, it doesn’t make it any less special to me, and we should all be digging this music together, like we would have (and will again) on stage.

John,i really appreciate your faith in us (the fans) you are truly talented and amazing. I bought the album because I love your voice and I have seen how creative you can be. You make love to your guitar so passionately;the way you get lost in the language of your music excites me! I find myself getting pulled in by this energetic gravity that you don’t even realize you have when you play! I hope you come to Colorado again, It was so Real to see you perform at “Red Rocks”, even better than the pepsi center when we drove to see you in a crazy ass blizzard! In a simple world I would ask you to make my wedding a dream come true. I am getting married in Sept. On the 15th in small town Greeley,Co. Where God is great,beer is good or whiskey and people are crazy! Will you play Train’s “Marry me” while I walk down the isle? Oh, and would it be too much too ask if you would sing it too? Okay back to reality. My motto is “you’ll never know the answer to a question unless you ask” “Otherwise, if not, one is simply closing themselves off to possibilities”

I must say….i think the song makes me want to just have a bbq with my few closest friends. Have some spirits and just laugh, dance, or even just talk about “remember whens”. good times. Simplicity is bliss in days like these, with the rush and blow my mind mentality it can be overwhelming. People don’t take time to appreciate,”time”. I love this song! I am a California Native ,i can keep up with best of them! However, after 34 years I moved to Beautiful Colorado. My heart as always been here. I stepped down, and the funny thing is my name means Queen! Thank you for sharing this with me. Certainly not a Black eye. Do your thing.

Life doesn’t owe anybody happy endings. there is always room for hope which makes life interesting and worth some heart ache. As long as an individual can reminiss on happy moments in ones life these are incidents of happy times. in short, life is a journey,a war and a retribution all in one.
